小老虎

一个小老虎在北京呆了三十年，去了上海；一个SOULSPEAK在北京呆了十年，回到了洛杉矶。离开之后，两人才动了念头，做了这张专辑，叫《北京吗》。就地取材——小老虎还是在他乱七八糟的大脑仓库里捡破烂，胡说八道；Soulspeak路过跳蚤市场，买了把儿童用还少根弦的破吉他，滋哇乱叫地弹了起来：一座城的样子，就在肉嗓子和手指头里开始影影绰绰。人去楼空，还有大鼻涕飘在空中。

J-Fever

J-Fever was living in Beijing for 30 years. He has moved to Shanghai since 2018. SOULSPEAK stayed in Beijing for 10 years and returned to Los Angeles now. After leaving, they had an idea and made this album, called Beijing? J-Fever was still picking up junk from his messy brain and talking nonsense. Soulspeak bought a broken children guitar with a few strings from a flea market, and played it loudly: it looks like a city, shadow in the fleshy throat and fingers. People escaped form buildings, and there is big snot floating in the air.

小龙花

这次的创作我设想出了”一笔画“的概念。我和小老虎分别邀请了身边在北京居住过但已经离开了北京的朋友们用一笔勾勒出他们心中的北京或与北京相关的印象（可以是人或者物，也可以是事件。具象的、抽象的都可以）得到这些有趣而又神秘的图像后我与白魁分别采样了北京和上海那些被填埋或即将被拆除建筑的水泥墙，我将采样和一笔画的图像结合产生了一系列如同痕迹般的画面。

Xiao Longhua

For this creation, I conceived the concept of “one-stroke painting”. J-Fever and I invited friends who have left Beijing to draw the shape of their impressions of Beijing (it can be a person, an object or an event.) After getting these interesting and mysterious images, Bai Kui and I took a lot of photos of cement walls in Beijing and Shanghai. The urban management officers covered some of the walls with oil painting; some walls were buried by city planning or about to be demolished. I combined these walls with the images of one-stroke painting to produce a series of a picture like traces.

这张专辑使用了一个有趣的纸张折叠结构，好像一个玩具。翻个面儿，再翻个面儿，还翻个面儿，灰色的墙体拐了九道弯，仿佛置身北京的胡同，在里面可以和小虎的唱片还有小龙花的视觉作品相遇。唱片封套上的曲目字体由音乐人使用铁笔书写，我用一层“水泥”将它们覆盖，需要购买者将其刮去，才能找到小老虎的歌。封套背面设计成了一块画布，可以由着性子画一条永不回头的线。

Bai Kui

The album uses an interesting paper-folding structure, like a toy. You need to flip it again and again. It seems like being in the Beijing hutong. To walk along the gray wall, you will find a tortuous route. You can meet J-fever’s CD record and Xiao Longhua’s artwork. The tracks name on the box cover was written by J-fever with an iron pen, and I covered them with a layer of “cement”. It requires the buyer to scrape them away to find the songs. In the back of the box cover, there is a canvas which is also can be scraped.
